What does the Alpenflora taste like?

The Alpenflora kitchen alternates traditional South Tyrolean dishes with Mediterranean and international specialities, prepared with fresh quality products, preferably from the region. In the evening, you choose from a 5-course menu à la carte, with matching wines.

Can I also find vegetarian dishes?

Yes, every day the Alpenflora offers a vegetarian menu. Even so, please let us know when booking that you would like to eat vegetarian, so we can spoil you at our best.

What if I have a food allergy or intolerance?

Then you don't have to miss out on the Alpenflora flavor! Please let us know about any allergies or intolerances at the time of booking.

Who advises me on wine at the Alpenflora?

Philipp, son of the house, recommends the right wine for your menu. As a sommelier and wine academy graduate, he enjoys chatting with Alpenflora’s guests about the classics on our wine list and the new developments in winegrowing.

Which wines does the Alpenflora offer?

Our wine list focuses on South Tyrolean wines, strong in character and diverse, complemented by wines from around the world. Alcohol-free options are also available.

Can I eat vegan at the Alpenflora?

The Alpenflora is not a hotel that specialises in vegan cuisine, but with a little notice we are happy to prepare vegan dishes for you. To make this work, advance notice is required: please let us know when booking, so our kitchen can prepare in good time.

Where can I find the Alpenflora?

The Wellness Hotel Alpenflora is located at the entrance to Castelrotto, near the Alpe di Siusi/ Seiser Alm in South Tyrol.

When can I check into my room?

Your room will be ready from 3 pm.

I am travelling by car. Where can I park?

There is always space for your car in our hotel car park and the spot is included in the price. We also provide the possibility to charge your electric car with us at a favourable price.

I am travelling by train. How do I get to the Alpenflora comfortably?

Let us know your arrival time, and we will organise the transfer for you. The taxi will pick you up at the train station in Bolzano or Bressanone (Additional cost). Of course, you can also take a bus to reach us in Castelrotto! Line 170 runs regularly and directly from Bolzano and Bressanone to Castelrotto.

Wellness at the Alpenflora

What does the wellness world at the Alpenflora include?

In the sauna and spa area you will find the infinity pool, the sauna and bathing worlds, the „La Fontana“ beauty centre and the modern gym – places to let go and recharge your batteries.

How big is the wellness area at the Alpenflora?

1000 m² of peace and relaxation for the body and soul: in the sauna and spa area of the Alpenflora wellness-world, we stop time for our guests.

Which pools does the Alpenflora have?

In the infinity pool, the heated outdoor pool (approx. 28–32 °C), you merge with the horizon. Our bright, covered panorama pool welcomes Alpenflora guests at a pleasant 30 °C with a counter-current system.

Which saunas does the Alpenflora have?

Rainbow steam sauna, mountain sauna, forest sauna and Alpine sauna. In addition, a glacier fountain, an infrared cabin and a Kneipp bath. The sauna world is a relaxation and nude area for adults.

What does the saltwater bath offer?

The 35 °C warm salt water in the saltwater bath has a positive effect on the skin and the immune system. The Alpenflora saltwater bath has a salt content of 6 %. The health benefits of the saltwater bath are scientifically proven.

Is there a hay bath?

Yes. The grasses, flowers and herbs for the original Castelrotto hay bath at „La Fontana“ come from the Alpe di Siusi.

Which massages are available at „La Fontana“?

At „La Fontana“, our guests can choose, among others, the Hot Stone Full-Body and Facial Massage, the Classic Relaxation Massage, the Honey Massage with Propolis, the Anti-Stress Treatment and the Ayurvedic Abhyanga oil massage. All massages and wellness treatments use Maria Galland care products.

Which products are used for the treatments?

Massages and wellness treatments use Maria Galland care products. The beauty and cosmetic treatments also use products from the premium brand Maria Galland.

Is there a fitness room at the Alpenflora?

In the newly equipped Alpenflora gym you can do your usual cardio, strength or free body training.

What wellness area does the Alpenflora offer?

The Alpenflora has an approximately 1,000 m² wellness world with an Infinity Pool, sauna and bathing worlds, a gym and the La Fontana beauty centre. The wellness world is reserved exclusively for hotel guests.

How do I get to the Alpe di Siusi?

The Seis–Seiser Alm panoramic cable car is around 2 km from the Alpenflora and takes you up comfortably. You can reach the valley station by shuttle bus (the stop is right in front of the hotel) or by car. In winter, the Alpenflora also runs its own hotel shuttle service.

Where can I find the Alpenflora?

The Alpenflora is located at the entrance to Castelrotto, near the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm in South Tyrol, at around 1,000 metres. The Dolomites and the Alpe di Siusi are right on your doorstep.

When can I check into my room?

Your room is ready from 3 pm. On your departure day, we kindly ask you to leave the room by 11 am. For an additional price, you can keep using the wellness world on your departure day: € 20 per adult and € 10 per child up to 14 years of age, including an afternoon buffet.

Inclusive Services

What is included in the price?

All inclusive services are included in the room rate: the 1000 m² Wellness-World, ¾ pampering board, free WiFi, free use of the hotel car park and free use of public transport throughout South Tyrol.

Is half board included?

The room rate includes ¾ pampering board: a varied breakfast buffet, afternoon snacks and a 5-course à la carte menu in the evening.

By what time do I have to leave my room?

Check-out is scheduled until 11 am.

Can I leave later?

You are welcome to enjoy the Alpenflora a little longer on your day of departure. You might want to get access to our wellness world for the rest of the day (including an afternoon buffet) for an additional price of € 20 per adult and € 10 per child up to 14 years of age. 

My Booking

What are the general price conditions?

All prices are per person and day, including VAT. They include the overnight stay, ¾ pampering board, and over 50 inclusive services. The price does not include the visitor's tax of € 3.50 per day and person (for people 14 years and older). The visitor's tax must be paid on site.

What are the cancellation conditions?

Notification in accordance with Part III, Title III, Section I, of the Consumer Protection Code (GvD 206/2005): The booking represents a legally binding accommodation contract, whereby you commit to take over the booked rooms for the agreed period as well as to the corresponding payment. On our side, we legally commit to keep the booked rooms available for you. In case of non-compliance, the contracting parties are obliged to compensate for the damage incurred in accordance with Art. 1218 of the Italian Civil Code. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following cancellation conditions apply in accordance with Art. 1382 of the Italian Civil Code:

  • Cancellation up to 21 days before the agreed date of arrival: cancellation of the accommodation contract without cancellation fee
  • 20 to 15 days before the agreed date of arrival: a fee of 30 % of the total price applies
  • 14 to 8 days before the agreed date of arrival: a fee of 50 % of the total price applies
  • 7 to 4 days before the agreed arrival date: a fee of 70 % of the total price applies
  • Less than 4 days and up to 1 day before the agreed arrival date: a fee of 90 % of the total price applies

In case of a cancellation on the day of arrival, non-acceptance without cancellation, late arrival, or early departure, 95 % of the agreed total price must be paid.

How does the cancellation protection work?

In case of cancellation, you may miss out on a fantastic holiday at the Wellness Hotel Alpenflora, but you are protected against any costs incurred. With this certainty, you can book your room with peace of mind.

Can I bring my pet to the Wellness Hotel Alpenflora?

Small and medium-sized dogs and cats are welcome at the Alpenflora. Please note that it is not possible to bring your dog to meals. Pets are not allowed in the wellness world.

How much do children pay at the Alpenflora?

The additional prices for children in an extra bed:

  • Up to 10 years: € 60
  • 10-14 years: € 70
  • From 14 years: -40 % of the full price (min. € 80)

I would like to take a break from my car. Is that possible?

With the South Tyrol Guest Pass, you can travel for free on all public transport in South Tyrol. Every guest arriving at the Wellness Hotel Alpenflora receives the Südtirol Guest Pass. It is valid for the entire duration of your stay.

How do I get to the Seiser Alm?

  • The Seis-Seiser Alm panoramic cable car, which is located at 2 km from the Wellness Hotel Alpenflora, takes you up comfortably to the Seiser Alm. You can reach the valley station by shuttle bus (the bus departs directly in front of the Alpenflora) or by car. In the winter months, the Alpenflora has its own hotel shuttle service.
  • By bus: Line 10 runs from Castelrotto directly to the Alpe di Siusi/ Seiser Alm (N.B.: The South Tyrol Guest Pass is not valid on this line).
  • By car: Before 9 am and after 5 pm, you can drive to Compatsch by car. During the opening hours of the Panoramabahn (cable car), the access road to the Seiser Alm is closed.

Is there air conditioning in the room?

The Alpenflora Garden rooms in the new extension are all equipped with air conditioners.

In addition, at 1000 metres above sea level, the fresh mountain air also provides cooling.

  • Our guests can expect a range of healthy options at the hotel, including vegetarian and vitality dishes
  • We promote the use of public transport and inform guests about alternatives to the car and where they can hire bicycles
  • We prefer to use products (e.g. washing and cleaning products) from certified companies
  • We have switched to LED lighting throughout Alpenflora
  • We have replaced systems and devices with energy-efficient alternatives
  • We provide charging stations for electric cars
  • We eliminate unnecessary packaging and single-use plastic. For instance, we use straws made from potato starch
  • We provide recycling bins in the hotel and separate waste in all areas
